awesome custom MGS 4 PS3 blow your mind and hurt yours wallet

Never seen something that awesome like this since the PS3 laptop mod came out. It’s probably the most bad ass PS3 ever. Seriously, get something like this is worth more than MGS 4 bundles.

This is a complete mod inspired by the incredible Metal Gear Solid saga and signed by Hideo Kojima!

The side panel is a “black” laser etching of Solid Snake custom ordered from Hyperkore Systems and is the only one of its kind. What makes it truly special are the actual autographs of Hideo Kojima and Yumi Kikuchi we got during their first stop on the MGS World Tour in New York City.

It has been specially fitted with 15 white micro LEDs that back light not only the marquee but also the etching so the artwork is viewable in complete darkness. The entire panel was heated and contoured to the exact curve of the PS3 and mounted using four custom machined stainless steel standoffs. As always the voltage was calibrated to not be too bright nor too dim and the back lighting can also be disabled via a small switch on the back of the unit.

The custom controller was chosen because of its strong resemblance to devices that appear in the game. The buttons are backlit in a deep red and the PS Home button is a custom back lit red “4″ button to honor the latest chapter in the series.

An original 60GB Playstation 3 with FULL hardware backwards compatibility was used to create this mod.

it’s also come along with some rare goodies such as dog tag, t-shirt, strategy guide, etc. However, the price is pretty high and probably higher than get a bunch of figures, rare Gundam’s models or custom desktop — around (currently) 2,550 USD in 6 days left. Got playstation 3, hooray

I just got ps3 yesterday as my birthday present. But my mind wasn’t on ps3 at first place, because I want a gaming desktop more than game console like Alienware (of course for play games propose ^^”). But then I change my mind, I thought like “what the heck, since I don’t have enough money to get a big ass wide screen monitor and 5.1 surround speaker”. Also ps3 just got a lot of games that I want to play like soulcalibur 4, MGS 4, etc. so that’s I choose ps3 (will never choose 360, it’s suck).

Some said that ps3 is quite heavy but I think it’s not, even it’s said 6 kg on the box (￣▽￣)

Unfortunately, I haven’t bought much games at that day, due to I need to keep it for other games and figures. (≧∇≦”)

After I tested for a few minutes I can only thought it’s AWESOME!! and better than I expected. Cheers for the ps3, lol! ＼(o￣∇￣o) Oh! by the way, Hatsune Miku drawing project is finished, I’ll show you all tomorrow.

PS3 40gb price drop this weekend

I guess Christmas is coming too earlier for this year. I think I should thanks to Santa for listen to my wish, lol.

According to Blockbuster store, the price for PS3 40GB models will drop to $359.99 yeah, the price isn’t drop pretty much. But, it’s better than no price cut.

However, this price drop order didn’t come from Sony directly. It seem Blockbuster want to clear the stock that badly.

According to a Blockbusters’ memo leaked to us today Sony is permanently dropping the price of the discontinued 40GB model of the Playstation 3 starting Sunday.

The price drop, which was verified by calls to a number of Blockbuster stores, will drop the 40GB model to $360 and an PS3 40GB bundle with an HDMI cable, Spiderman the movie and Transformers the game to $400. Stores that have trade-ins of the PS3 40GB will be selling it for $360 as well.

While the $40 or so price drop isn’t much, maybe it signals other drops in line for the other versions of the console in the near future. Or perhaps Sony is clearing stock to make room for a Tokyo Game Show announced new SKU for the Playstation 3.
